The Flora of Virginia provides critical tools and data to professionals, educators and enthusiasts alike who are working to protect and restore native flora across the Commonwealth.
The Flora of Virginia and the Flora App are necessary resources for protecting and restoring our native flora. The work needed to maintain our data and provide new resources, like the Natural Communities key in the App, are funded almost entirely by individual donors.
This year, we’re participating in GivingTuesday to raise $5,000 a 25% increase over what our generous supporters typically give during the holiday season.

- Ensure the best resources on Virginia’s Flora are available to restoration practitioners state-wide
- Fund programs to help train the next generation of botanists and environmental scientists
- Keep the App evolving with the most current botanical information available
